Why do people want to give up their freedom. One of the things I like most about America is that as long as I do not hinder someone else's life I can do whatever I want. What people fail to realize when they look at the statistics of how many people do not have insurance in the US is how many of those people choose to not have it? There are people that are our age that choose not to have it. I honestly besides if I get hurt playing baseball don't need health care. So the people who don't want care now have to pay for it. That really sounds constitutional.
Saying that because you live in Cuyahoga county you should be healthy is like saying since you live or work in McDonald's you should be fat. This is one of the most utterly ridicules oppositions the people for universal care uses. Things don't just radiate health. In America we have some of the best most advance health care procedures why are we so willing to give that up? I believe that our generation is to wrapped up in "O man its free and for everyone!!?? How could that be bad??" We are out of the time of people living in oppression. Our grandfathers and great grandfathers are the ones who fought in WWI and WWII. They saw the power of socialism first hand. I said it once and I'll say it again Hitler started by socializing health care.
After reading some of Gaude and reading some about Obamacare I have come to the conclusion that socialized medicine is according to catholics a right. BUT the church does not support Obamacare. and I do believe in the separation of church and state. So for the rights of everyone else I believe that the Catholic church has no say in who should get health care.
I have not been swayed at all about my choice that health is a privilege. Obamacare provides things that are against the Catholic religion so we don't support Obamacare and as an American I can't support it. And I will not support anything that has Abortion rights.
     DEFENDING THE OTHER SIDE
What makes your fellow man lesser then you. Just because he doesn't pull in the $80000 a year that you do does not mean that he should have to go sick. Health is for all men wether you have done right or wrong in your life. Everyone should have access to what can make him better. If everyone drug addict had help paying for rehab then we would probably have a lot less addicts out there. The world needs to give second chances because people mess up. We have no right to judge who should get what. Everyman is entitled to the right to health care because if we put our own people out on the streets then how can we move forward.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness... These words are what our country was based on. We came to America to get away from persecution and from all other forms of government that made it nearly impossible to express yourself. Now we are looking at going back to the same types of government that we ran away from. First I would like to point out that Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany by making health care socialized. Same with a lot of other rulers who kept their people under their feet.
Now besides my rambling. We just got back from Spain. A beautiful country with, according to our tour guide has, one of the worst unemployment rates in the world. How nice would it be to live in a world with great health care, supposedly the 7th best in the world and not have to pay for it cause you don't have a job. What kind of motivation is that to get a job. Now I'm sure quite a few of the unemployed are looking for a job and yes they do deserve coverage. However the ones who decide that they will just leach off all of the others is where the universal health care is flawed. I believe that the health care is what killed Spain's jobs.
So off this and a few other things that I believe to be true, like my pursuit of happiness does not involve me paying for you to be overweight and out of shape, health care is NOT a right. If it was it'd be in the constitution. Life just means that you can not impede on someone else's. Not That yours should constantly be healthy.
The sense of entitlement that our country has is wrong. I saw a political add attacking Gov. Romney because he doesn't give out free phones. Most pointless commercial ever. I had seen another that attacked him for not HUGGING his garbage man. Are you telling me we should get hugs for doing our job? Alright lets all get paid in hugs its a new stimulus package thanks Obama.  Things like health care, phones, and hugs should be earned. You do not need any of them. But in todays society need vs want does not exist. Its only need.

First Blog Rome 2012 GL W1

Ciao everyone,
Well three days in Italy has showed me that one thing in my life remains true. My family is very Italian. In between all the gesturing wildly while talking, eating way to much food, and sitting down as a family to eat, I find it to be very homey. Other than that Rome has proved to be more of a jungle than a city. Not a jungle with plants (besides the umbrella pine trees which I will say are awesome) but a jungle of stone and crazy Italians. Italians that are willing to fit 500 people in a bus that may be 15 Ft. long. Them crazy Italians...
I will say Barzini is right when he says that people become "Hopelessly addicted" to the "ways of Italy". I can feel myself already longing to stay here for a longer period of time. The fast train riding and beautiful cities have completely captivated my mind. I can not wait to get to see the artistic cities like Florence and Venice. Everything that I have pictured Italy being has been true.
All the sights and sounds of Rome are fair beyond what I expected. I had no clue that there was constantly so much hubbub around here. All night and day people seem like they are out and ready to do everything. I'm constantly waking up to the sounds of motorcycles speeding down the roads, sirens, and sometimes I even wake up to the pleasant sounds of birds. Rome and Italy are just an addicting places to be....Especially the food....
